The Role:
We are looking for Senior Civil / Infrastructure Engineers to join our growing Development Infrastructure team in either our London Fitzrovia or Wimbledon offices.
You will have 8–15 years’ experience delivering roads, drainage, earthworks and utilities infrastructure projects (with at least 1–2 years in the UK) and be confident running projects independently from concept through to delivery.
This role will focus on master planning and enabling works projects across a broad range of sectors, including regeneration, infrastructure, education, health, industrial, aviation and recreational developments. You will play a key role in developing development infrastructure and civil engineering masterplans for planning submissions and delivering enabling works and site-wide and plot-level infrastructure solutions.
You will be responsible for undertaking Roads, Drainage, Earthworks design utilities diversions / spacial planning and Flood Risk Assessments, to include surface and foul water drainage strategies and detailed design, and sustainable urban drainage solutions (including blue/green roofs, attenuation basins, rainwater harvesting and swales) for plot, public realm and site-wide developments. All work will be delivered in line with local planning policy, relevant guidelines, DMRB, Building Regulations Part L, and Sewers for Adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage civil engineering projects from concept to delivery, ensuring high-quality technical outputs and exemplary service to clients
Take ownership of project commercial performance, including fee forecasting, cost control, invoicing, variations and financial reporting
Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and liaise closely with clients, local authorities and key stakeholders
Mentor and support engineers within the team, contributing to professional development, training and technical problem-solving
Ensure projects are delivered in compliance with Health & Safety requirements (including CDM 2015), quality systems (ISO 9001 & 14001) and internal governance procedures
Support work-winning activities through tenders, bids and fee proposals, and contribute to knowledge sharing through internal technical presentations
Technical Experience:
Roads and access road design to Local Design Standards, Manual for Streets and DMRB
Preparation of Flood Risk Assessments across Flood Zones 1, 2 and 3
Surface and foul water drainage strategies and detailed design, including attenuation and SuDS
Underground drainage design for developments ranging from single plots to large site-wide schemes
Earthworks design, cut/fill analysis, car parks and hardstandings
Planning and technical approvals, including S38 and S278
Preparation of reports to support planning applications and design-stage deliverables
Software:
Proficient in InfoDrainage, MicroDrainage, Civil 3D/AutoCAD, Navisworks, KeySIGN and vehicle tracking software
